At my place of employment we always donate toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. We have done this for the past 10 years. This year we decided to do something different. Instead of going out and purchasing the toys, we donated money. A total of $180.00. Each penny counted for 1 vote. We voted on whom we thought should be an elf for the day. The
contestants were our upper management. The Director of Technology got the most votes. The idea was to vote for someone whom you would love to see in a
ridiculous elf hat. The winner had to wear the hat all day, even when they left the office to eat lunch or meet with a customer or supplier.
Me being the sweet person I am, not to mention a team player- added to the excitement by dressing as an elf also. Didn't want John to look
ridiculously stupid by himself. John (the elf) and I grew up together. His sister and I were best
friends in high school. He is a very good
friend of mine. It was nice sharing the day with him. We were stars(elves) for a day
Wouldn't you love to see us coming down the chimney with "Good Ole St. Nick"
